As avid cyclist, wanting new stuff all the time, we decided that we
would start Rabbit Bicycle in 2000 so Eddie could "write off" all his new tools to build Joey her first full suspension
Santa Cruz Superlite. Little did we know that our little shop in Parker, AZ would lead to Eddie retiring early from
his 25 years in a "real" job in 2002 to run this full blown out bike shop. In 2003 we both attended Barnett
Bicycle Institute and are certified mechanics.
Since summers are
not really conducive for riding a bike in Arizona at 110 degrees, we decided to explore other summer locations and found Hill
City. Joey does tattoos for a living and had been coming to the Black Hills since 2000 to tattoo during the Sturgis
motorcycle rally. The rest is history. We started in a rented building on Main in 2005 and in 2006 purchased our
present location.
